How do I replicate this design technique in Psd

Hi, I wanted to try and replicate an artists design idea in photoshop but I'm wondering what's the best way to do it.

you could achieve this using the brush tool, if you are good at drawing i think it would be the best way to go about making something like this

I agree, an original Robert Oxley is done with oil paint on box canvas. In order to recreate the style in Photoshop, you would need to bring your painting skills and get out the Brush Tool.
