Its been a very long time I did a composite.
Well today I started with

the_bridge_of_the_fairies__by_leina1-d6gguwy.jpgdark-sky-bright-sky-over-harbor.jpgstock__stormy_sky__credit_and_show_the_result__by_amka_stock-d781trv.jpg

and the persons to get two versions. Pick the one you like most

The Life Cycle A.png The Life Cycle B.png

you know, left side spring and youth, the right side winter and old(er)...

Please do comment.

Both beautiful images Eggy, my preference is the first one
There is one slight thing for me and that's the old mans right foot position, maybe move him back a bit on the bridge.

Thanks Ged.

I'm a bit confused now; the old man's right foot or the foot on the right of the picture? (He's facing us)

Awesome work Lambert! Great symbolism! I like both versions but like Ged, I prefer the first one.

I would say this is my favorite one to date...........but I only know your next one will take that honor away! Keep it up!

Thanks Sam!
I like passing a message or humor into my composites.
This one was long overdue, but I had a somewhat blank period.
For once I must say I like the first one better because the spring colors are more pronounced.

Both are very well done! I like the first one best, but only because it's brighter and more colorful.

A gorgeous composite Eggy...and a nice story behind it too.
I also prefer the first image.

Thanks Jerry.

You should try one too, its fun and a good way to apply what you've picked up...

Thanks Chris.

We know there's a lot to look back for in life, decisions, choices...but no regrets.
The young lad isn't looking back, there's not much to look back at his age.

Ahh, I did that on purpose Ged, just for putting a shadow under his shoe.
I'll try your suggestion though, no harm in experimenting.

If you look at the boy he's walking in the middle of the bridge and the old mans left foot is behind kinda in the middle as well, yet the old mans right foot is forward, just doesn't look quite right in my opinion

It's still a wonderful composite all the same

I see your point Ged and I'll look in to it, tomorrow...

This is the final version.

I cleaned up the messy transition between good/bad weather and added more snow.
I also removed the stone in front of the boy.

But Ged I can't find what's wrong with the old man's feet. You have to remember the view is from botton upwards making his right foot hidden behind the edge of the stone whilst you have a free view on his left foot.

Time for something else now...

Really like it... but thought the boy should going in the direction of the man, and then man as he is looking back on life, the boy looking forward to life. but still like it, very good, Thank you.

Thanks.

Its symbolism, the boy, young, into the spring of his life and the old(er) man, into the winter of his life looking back at his life.
