lol...

Didn't see this , Norm.

Epson , HP or Microtek lines are the best you can get for your money's worth.

Thing is, scanners are incorporated into all in one printer scanners nowadays. I still prefer the flatbed on its own.

If it's still available, try... HP Scanjet G4050 Photo Scanner's ....

or Microtek ScanMaker i900 ..... which I use. Exquisite this one.

Of course , the Drum Scanner is best but may be out of anyone's budget. starting at about $15,000 range.

Wouldn't you suggest a $15,000 scanner. Lucky iDad is loaded. I lost my flatbed scanner -- so much better than the 8.5 x 11 all in one I have now -- in my garage fire. I may take you up on this advice. I don't even bother toscan since what I have is such sh - -!

If you can , I'd highly suggest the Microtek. Bulky but bang for buck for any Graphics use as well as film scanning.

I know... who uses film nowadays? But if a client wants a retouch from film images? This scanner was very helpful with film scans.

Mine had a little cradle, for lack of a better word, to scan negatives and slides. It was an HP. Bought it about 13 years ago.
