Went into London with the family last week and spent a little time at the Tower photographing the poppies that are being placed in the dry moat for WW1.

This one of the shots I took, after a little twaeking

But I wasn't happy with it so had another go last night. Cropped tighter (removed the crane, chimney and some sky), played with the curves and couple of other things and removed the annoying sea gull on the grass..

Still doesn't feel quite right. Any suggestions?

Make a selection of the sky and put it on a new layer. Blending mode multiply.
Make a selection of the buildings. With the curves lighten the mid tones.
In the BG layer use selective color correction to make the colors brighter.

As your posted image is very low resolution, it'll be hard to achieve a satisfying result.
Here is my attempt.

I darkened the sky & lightened the castle & flowers then removed bird & crane/building makes it all look very nice IMO lol great pic tho [emoji5]️
