In this area, Labor Day means lots of local community parades. How is it celebrated in your area? BBQs? Family gatherings?

Why don't you show us how it's celebrated in your area by posting a photo or two (... but please don't hog the thread by posting a large number...).

Well, I see that this thread is taking off like the proverbial lead balloon, and my concern about being inundated with too many pix was a bit optimistic, so let's open the thread up to pix from Labour Day (for our friends in Canada and anywhere else that spells it that way), International Workers' Day / May Day, or, for that matter, ANY parade.

Sorry to dissapoint you, we celebrate Labour Day on the 1st of May, but it's not a fancy parade. I doubt if there is any parade at all, Maybe in the big towns.
And for the rest...I don't go to parades, too many people.

"...Sorry to dissapoint (sic) you, we celebrate Labour Day on the 1st of May,..."

- - - I know, that's exactly why, when after 24 hours, and no one else had posted even a single photo from the USA, I opened up the thread to pix from the international Labour / May Day celebrations held elsewhere in the world.

Since I was working as the official photographer for a local event, and saw lots of other folks taking pix, I thought that there might be at least a couple of PSG people here in the USA that might have taken a few pix and might want to share them. I guess not.

Anyway, since there probably won't be many more posts in this thread, here's a few more of my pix.

Thanks Tom for the photos! There are no parades around here accept on the fourth of July. Only minor ceremonial gatherings at two War Memorials which are more depressing than celebratory. The temp was 100 degrees and folks around here seek air conditioned cover. I hear the Labor Day sales were very successful!
