3D 3D Typography in Photographs


Many thanks to Chitkaren for revitalizing my interest in this!

Here is one I started for the Holiday Challenge. I never finished it and it needs some tweaks.

Excellent job!

Clouds are very hard to isolate from their backgrounds. That's the only very minor thing I see on this one.

In that foreground cloud layer, if you used a layer mask, duplicate the layer, right click the layer, choose apply layer mask. Turn off the original, then try the following......

Select the Dodge Tool and set to midtones, and about 25% exposure and see if you could reduce that slightly darker area around the clouds edges that still contains a remnant of its BG.
 
That's a nice idea that I imagine would work. I haven't touched the clouds at all though - I just erased parts of the text that the foreground clouds would cover with a layer mask. The cheap and nasty way! :neutral:
