Reflection of a curved landscape

Do anyone know how to make a reflection of a landscape in water if the line where the water meets the landscape is curved? I can only find tutorials how to make water and a reflection if the horizon is in a straight line.

I'm new to Photoshop and this is one of my first work:

Then I got stuck because I thought I could make the reflection, but I think it's really hard.

Can someone PLEASE explain? :) Thank you!

Reflections are always the same regardless of the 'edge' shape.

Follow one of those tutorials and just mask out what you don't need.
You'll need to pay attention as to where the horizon line is but its essentially its just the same technique as any other reflection.....and you can make the 'edge' any shape you like...

Why not?

What do you think they should look like?

Do you understand if I show you this picture?

water_landscape_30_wallpaper_background_hd.jpg:)

I need the trees reflected as well. Not only the sky and mountain.

I understand it perfectly.

The trees are in the reflection in the image I posted, but how much of them you see depends very much on their position relative to the waters edge.

You didn't state anything to this fact in your brief original post and its impossible to tell from a vector image.

I don't understand how you get the trees to be reflected. Have you painted it by hand? And the reflection of the clouds look abit angled now. I played around with transform and perspective, but then the clouds wasn't straight anymore.

I'm still trying to establish the 'look' you want.

Once I know that then I'll show you how to do it.

Using MrToM's EXACT technique (with one minor inclusion) I created the same image. I set the inverted layer to soft light.

If I know MrToM, he will make a quick video for you on how he did it if you answer him.

I added a glass filter to the inverted image/layer to give it a slight shimmer and ripple effect.....

Looks really good! But it's just the trees to the left and right that looks like should reflect more of the base of the tree? Now it's just the top of those trees getting reflected.

Yes, I agree.

This is a more accurate version. But it's a bit more complicated to accomplish.

I will leave it MrT to explain.

(quick version, not refined)
