Well I must confess that I suck at modifying brush presets and setting all those complicated pressure related settings. Lately i'm trying to achieve effect of japanese feudal pen used for calligraphy ... but never seen anyone doing it so i don't know if thats possible. But i have found beautiful pics on deviant art ... look at this and tell me if this is "made in PS" or just great scan and some tunning.
Look at this:

Hello and welcome to PSG.

It's very difficult to tell. This could have been made entirely with Photoshop, Illustrator, or scanned. A good way of finding out would be to ask the person who made it on DeviantArt.

The easiest way would be to scan the characters and use Illustrator to trace into vector images that can be scaled. From there you could do as you wish with them.

Good advice but i know it ... the person isn't responding and maybe she got thier reason.
The thing is that i dont need stample but settings for brush do be able to draw it using wacom tablet. She draws most beautiful kanji but i believe that she uses traditional fudal pen with ink. Anyway anything that gives similar effect would be awesome. When i try to make one it always acts like pen not even close to brush ...

If you have Illustrator, you could build or scan and load your own brush presets to mimic the shape of the strokes.

I don't think it's impossible, but I don't think your going to be happy with any other results that do not mimic the calligraphy brush exactly. That's why I have previously suggested that you create the calligraphy in the traditional manner then scan and trace.
