Hey, I'm a pretty inexperienced photoshop user using cc14 and I'm designing the graphics for a new website I'm working on and I was trying to get the kind of gradient(?) effect shown in this website
http://www.turnermorris.com/ if anyone could help that would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.

This is not exact but it's a close approximation.

Open a document and add the BG color.

On a new layer, use the Brush Tool with a large soft brush set to white, make some shapes.

Add a Gaussian Blur to the brushed shapes.

Then set the blend mode to 'overlay'.

On a new layer and still using the Brush Tool, select a Bokeh brush.
Create some Bokeh shapes over the other brushed shapes using white.

Set the blend mode to 'overlay'.

Add a Gaussian Blur, and set the opacity to 30%.

That's about it. Definitely experiment with settings while creating.

Here's a Bokeh brush in case you don't have one.

Good luck.
