Hey guys, I'm new here! First of all forgive my bad grammar, English is not my first language.

Anyways, here is my problem:

A friend of mine sent me this logo he made and asked me if I could make it on Photoshop. I said I could try.
This is the logo he sent me:
ss+(2016-03-31+at+11.23.23).jpg

I have NO IDEA how to do that! Best thing I made so far was this:
ss+(2016-03-31+at+11.24.53).png

And lets be honest this is pretty bad. How can I make this logo look nice on Photoshop? I thought Illustrator would be easier but I have 0 knowledge about that software so...

I'm looking for a very helpful tutorial on how to use some Photoshop's tools to create nice curves and things like that. Maybe a video or even a tutor!

Thanks for your time, guys!

I would use the 'Pen' tool to construct a path, using your image as a template.

I'd then stroke the path with a suitable brush...(I added a drop shadow just to differentiate it from the original)

There are lots of tutorials online about using the 'Pen' tool and 'Paths'....there are many right here on PSG too.

This is a common technique for this type of work so you shouldn't have any trouble finding the info....should you decide to adopt the process.

Luciano,

If you have access to Adobe Illustrator, it would probably work better for the logo. Additionally, I would try to make the lines/font for the text a uniform width.

If you have access to Adobe illustrator I would definitely recommend using that.
Illustrator is ideal for creating logos since it is a vector program that you can resize without worrying about pixelization if you want it bigger at a later point in time.

And don't worry i think you will be able to get used to working in Illustrator pretty fast, it is different than photoshop but you will also find some parts of it very familiar too.

By the way, thats still a pretty good first attempt at the logo! Nice Job!

Here is a link to a video that can help with drawing in illustrator if you still want to attempt doing it that way.

Hope that helps!
