Hello and welcome to PSG.

You really cant scale your images to the same size as the woman's.

Here you can see that her image dimensions are w570px x h211px

If you scaled your image to the same dimensions it would look like this....

The best you could hope for would be to match the height only. Like this...

Which do you like?

Here's how you match the height.

Open you image in Ps.
Go to IMAGE > IMAGE SIZE.......

Set the height to 211

The other option would be to crop the image down to w570px x h211px
It would look something like this.......

Dear Vibha - Another possibility is to make the size of the people's heads all about the same, and then, once that is done, crop all 4 pix to the same outside dimensions and aspect ratio. This is somewhat different from what Sam illustrated in that he made one of the "outside" dimensions the same in all the pix. Making all of the heads have roughly the same size is a common requirement for web pages that show the staff of an organization, ID photos, etc.

Which do you want? Or, can you describe how the pictures will be used?

Cheers,

Tom M

Hi Vibha - Thank you for providing several complete examples as shown on the page you cited.

If I am correct, in order for new pictures to look the same as the ones on the "team" page, what you really want is for two things to happen:

a) The size of the person (or the person's head) in pixels should be adjusted to be approximately the same in all pictures (as I suspected); and,

b) After (a) is done, when necessary, white space or some neutral background should be added to the result of (a) to bring the overall pixel dimensions up to that of the wide rectangles on that page.

I am describing this in the simplest and clearest way I can. If it's not clear to you, may I suggest that you bring my description to someone who speaks your language and is used to working with digital images.

Another possibility is for one of our other members to show you by example what I am talking about. Unfortunately, I am in the process of performing maintenance work on my computer, so I can't illustrate what I am talking about myself.

Good luck with this task!

Tom M
