Saving files to JPG

Hi everyone. I'm new to Photoshop and I'm having issues with saving my finished work to JPEG and then sending via email. When I attach the JPEG file to the email and send it, the recipient can only see the image in the body of the email. There is no seperate attachment that they can then save. Also, the file extension is 'e' which I think is the logo for Microsoft Edge. Can anyone please advise? Many thanks.

Hi and Welcome to PSG

I think this is more of an issue with your email application rather than Photoshop, once the image is saved as a jpeg is out of Photoshops hands as to how the image is sent.
I assume you're doing a File Save As in PS
