I upgraded to Mac OS Yosemite as recommended. Now Photoshop won't open.

I upgraded to Mac OS Yosemite as recommended. Now Photoshop won't open.
Message reads, "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred.
Photoshop will now exit." I thank you in advance for any suggestions. If
necessary I can go to a backup disc and recover files from last week.

Sorry I am not a Mac user. But given the nature of the message, I think I would contact Adobe support and let them see if they can assist you to get PS running. You are probably going to have to recover your files.

Ive updated since beta was out, not one problem with PS
 
I'm not having an issue with photoshop, but I am receiving errors when trying to install some programs. It's telling me that I must install version x.xx in order to install. Yosemite is above the version required to run the program which makes me think that it's a bug on their software that needs to be fixed either on apples side or on the programmers side.

Try resetting the preferences file.
It cures a lot of strange behavior in PS.


Start Photoshop and immediately hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).


Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

Thanks to all for the thoughts. I have Photoshop working just fine.....now, when I
click the "print" button, Photoshop crashes. I have reset the preferences again.....
I have the latest driver.
I have a Mac with Yosemite OS, an Epson Workforce 40 printer.
Thanks again if anyone else has had this problem and has a suggestion.

Photoshop is still working fine, but I can't solve that
problem where Photoshop crashes when I click the
Print button.

I have reset preferences, and I have a Mac with the
Yosemite OS, an Epson workforce 40 printer. Any
thoughts are welcome, and I thank you in advance.
I think this started when I installed Yosemite.

Well, I upgraded my Photoshop CS5 to version 12.04 and now it will print OK!
I hope this is helpful to someone else who might be having the problem.
