Hi Hawkeye. I've probably done that about 5 times this past month! Nothing seems to work.

Assuming you are using a PC, does the tablet appear in device manager?

First thing I would check is, I'm assuming you are on Windows although you haven't mentioned the OS you are using or what Wacom Tablet you have

Another thing to try is, unplugging the tablet from the PC uninstall the Wacom drivers completely and download the latest version
Install the driver first and then plugin the Wacom tablet

Yep. All the time. I happened quite a bit with my old Bamboo,
and it happens with my new Intuos.

At first, I'd plug and unplug, re-install, and re-install drivers.

But, the tablet works even after that message. So, I quit worrying
about it.
