Hey happy late thanksgiving everyone:thumbsup:, im new to the forums here also.
I was wondering if my system can run the new photoshop because
im running laptop & i know they dont perform as well as desktops on
applications that use alot of processes to run so here are most my specs that i know.

Microsoft Windows 10
Acer Aspire R3-471T
x64-based PC
Intel Core i5-4210U CPU 1.7GHz 2401Mhz

Thats basically all the specs i really just see.
I have a 2TB harddrive so i know i have the space.
If anyone has any info it'd be much appreciated.

I suspect that each of us could individually spend time looking this up, but (a) you might have your system configured differently from the specs listed; and, (b) it would help all of us if you simply stated how much RAM your system has. Insufficient RAM for PS is a common problem among laptop users.

Here's the minimum system requirements for Photoshop CC2015
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html

Had a quick look and it would appear that your system comes with 8GB of Ram although I could be wrong
You can use this application to find out exactly what your system specs are, it's free
https://www.piriform.com/speccy

It would also be better to create a separate partition for Photoshop Scratch Disk
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-2569580/make-partitions-windows.html

And you could read this for more info

Thanks gedstar, Yes sorry I had forgot to mention the laptop has 8GB of RAM.
And thanks for the quick links you put for me, I looked at minimum system reqs
and I do meet them. I was pretty sure I already met minimum reqs but with the
specs I listed do you think I would have any problems with renders, or even keyframes for that matter?
Thannks in Advance.

Can you explain exactly what it is your planning on using Photoshop for, you do mention rendering and keyframes but that's a bit vague. The more info you supply the quicker we can help you!

"Another guy recommended me to a torrent download & it's running the program fine"

Judging by that I would assume you are using a pirated copy of Photoshop, apart from the fact that you have a very good chance of installing malware, viruses and trojans to name but a few you are seriously putting your computer and your personal information at risk.

You can find details of how to purchase Photoshop here
http://www.adobe.com/ie/creativeclo...troom&ef_id=VlorugAAAMG57D0g:20151128223628:s

You can also download a 30 day free trial from here
https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/ccpp?promoid=TTGWL8F8&mv=other

I don't think you'll find much support for pirated software from anyone here, me for one

Yes true, there is always a chance but good thing I didn't get any nasty software
when I installed the torrent. I've since removed it & i'm using the trial for this next 30
days to see what I can learn before spending the $
