    Ring Mask Rotation

Dude, don't get mad. :D I'm really just curious... I did get that you knew it could be done in AE... and it felt like you actually had access to AE... so... you have the right software, with the right knowledge... but you're looking for some other way to do it. I was curious about what's...

    Ring Mask Rotation

Out of curiosity... why are you so eager not to use AE ?

    Ring Mask Rotation

That's one pretty cool way to do it.... Could also be a layer on top which you rotate the same way... As long as you can put the anchor point right in the middle, you'd be able to work it out. Won't be animated though... That's why I'd say AE is better suited for the job...

    Ring Mask Rotation

Sorry to say this is not how PS works. Someone might come with an idea of how to do it... but I'd say if you have access to AE, and know how to do it in AE... then just do it. It's a fairly easy thing to do...

    Ring Mask Rotation

It's still not that clear... You talked about "individual frames for a filmstrip"... You could probably build something fast in PS and save frames from there... but it's wwaaaaayyyyy easier to achieve in after effects. Then, if you actually need it to be interactive... I'm just not sure I...

    Car accident

Thinking more about those... they just don't really make sense... Unless they were already there before the crash occured... but I'm pretty sure the police would rather use a yellow "DANGER POLICE WHATEVER" yellow ribbon which takes seconds to install, instead of big, heavy and bulky metal...

    Car accident

It's gettin' better and better. :) A few more things (hey I hope you don't think I'm annoying... let me know if so.. ;) ) - Great move with the second car... It now makes so much more sense... I feel like they were racing in this weird place and something went wrong... - Not so sure about...

    Car accident

That does look good. Here's a few pointer : - There something weird going on with the colours and saturation on the truck. The whole side feels over desaturated... Shouldn't the side windows have a little blueish tint, just like the front windshield ? I don't quite know what feels wrong...

    New alternative

Hey there, Thanks for sharing. Haven't used it, and I'm more a PS guy than an Illustrator one, but it does look interesting. I'll probably give it a try someday...

    How to make precise/exact "cut-outs"

Haha. That's a way to see it. I would say I REALLY HATE the pen tool. It's tedious and unpleasant to do... Not a lot of fun... Big shops have people devoted to the close-cutting process, leaving the artists to work on the important parts... As a freelancer, I've paid for closecuts in the...

    How to make precise/exact "cut-outs"

Been doing this professionally for years now. There's just nothing better then doing it by hand. The pen tool for everything that has hard edges, the refine mask tool for things like hair and fur... Once you have a pretty good mask, you soften it a little (very little, depending on the...

    California 250 GT

Yeah... Maybe it's just a tad too blue in the shadows in the BG... The shadows on the car are pretty neutral...

    California 250 GT

The car looks awesome... I think the backdrop could use a little warming, to make it look a bit more sunny... There's also a little blue thingy on the right side which steals attention away from the car... it could easily be removed...

The beach veteran and the girl in a monokini - Digital illustration

It does make sense... I made the shadow before I actually did a BG. At first, I was going to put him in an empty space... Well... considering the obvious lack of taste this guy has... I think you could be disappointed. :D

    Quickly achieve this effect.

How about recording an action (or a few actions). Hard to tell if it would work not knowing how you do it, but it's a great way to streamline a custom solution.

The beach veteran and the girl in a monokini - Digital illustration

Haha. Yeah, can't really say why... but I just love adding those little error/details... To me, the most common mistake in digital painting is over detailing, smudging... making everything so perfect it loses all sense of life and spontaneity. Now... I do understand that adding "splatters"...
