    Thanks for your through explanation. You had earlier stated (post 61) that I must enlarge the image before saving it. I never knew that. In the above posts that is how I did it. When opening the image in ps, I was not prompted to assign a profile.

    Sorry for the delay. I was waiting for your reply but this page didn't update. 1) I have to get back to you on this. Chrome does not show up. My friend will help me find it as he did firefox. 2)I am confused with this message. Which should I use? 4) Monitor is Asus PA248Q it cost under $200.

    My monitor is Asus - Hdmi I will make sure I use the Assign profile for all images. Here is the new test sample. I see the yellow lilly and the skin tone are richer on the Foxfire image.

    Hi - the desaturated check mark is removed. Before I do the image comparison, you said to do a hardware calibration. What is that? Is that the same as calibrating the colors with my Spyder?

    In Lynda.com they suggested using Pro photo. Should I use that Adobe 1998 or SRGB as the working space? Also the reset default has 20% desaturation which I made 0 I get a message about maximize capability - not sure what it means..

    You were right! I changed the name and reopened PS. When viewing my color chart in PS - now in srgb there is quite a bit less saturation when I compare it to a jpeg viewed in firefox! I then resaved it as a jpeg but when viewed in firefox the colors are saturated. Mostly the yellows. By the...

    When I go to help - about photoshop it shows Version 12.0 x 64 I'm assuming the 64 means 64 bit. Is this the version I should have? How would I know if I also have the 34?

    I found the file for Windows 7 and added the word "old" to the end. I rebooted my computer and reopened PS but a new preference file was not generated.
