    Well Yeah

You are remarkably brave about it. I'm a complete coward when it comes to medical stuff and would be a puddle. Healing thoughts and prayers headed your way.

    Master the clone stamp tool

Some of the earlier tutvid.com tutorials are good, too, but I'm not so much a fan of his more current work. I also love Glyn Dewis for more advanced photo editing techniques, particularly the way he works in Camera Raw

    Master the clone stamp tool

I love this guy! I have learned at least three "tricks" that changed my (Photoshop) life. Phlearn has been on my bookmarks for a long time and I look forward to his updates!

    Curvy Lines

Looks pretty close to me. :) I can't think of any better tool than the pen tool for the swooping curves. Just do each path separately and you can edit a little with the handles.

    post your pup pics here

I couldn't resist. My little dog went to the Rainbow Bridge a couple of years ago, but this is my favorite picture of her. Yes, it's blurry and not the best quality but I don't care. It shows her spirit better than any other "better" pictures I have.

    Help with grow effect

If you change the blend mode for layer with the glow to "color dodge" that should do it.

    Hello...I am new here

You open up a whole box of information with those questions, shadowhunter, and there is no one answer. The people who do anime make it look easy and simple, when in fact it is neither. It will take a lot of trial and error (mostly error, in my case) to learn to do anything really well...

    Help with Photo Restoration.

I gave it a shot, but honestly it's so blown out that there isn't enough information there to work with. If I brighten up the faces, the backlighting blows up. I can improve it a little, but not enough to make a showpiece out of it. Sorry, my friend. I don't think there's a lot of hope for...

    Post Your Cat Pix Here

Bear and Merlyn. Both of these guys came from being dumped at my vet's clinic. It is apparently very difficult to find homes for black kittens/cats and these guys had trouble finding "forever homes". Bear is looking annoyed because he's a dignified gentleman (until the madness hits and he...

    So now what?

*heart melts* Awwwww. What a little cutie!!! A Post your Pet thread? Great idea!!

    Variations on a Bear

Yeah, I did. There's not enough information on this particular photo to recover, but it's the only one I have of the two of them together where they aren't either wrestling, running around, or swatting each other. Honestly, though, even pictures I take with my "good" camera tend to look...

    Variations on a Bear

Wow. Can you believe this was three years ago? Bear is now a dignified elder statesman of four years old, and has been joined (not entirely to his delight) by another black kitten - Merlyn. I have discovered how very difficult it is to successfully photograph black cats. They suck up all the...

    Get creative

My boyfriend happened to wander in and see this and wanted me to post it without the quotation, finding the graphic by itself more powerful. So here it is. :)

    Portrait editing effect

I guess it would help if I told what I did...... First blew out a lot of the color with exposure and gamma correction. Used a curves adjustment layer to bring more red in and reduce the yellow and also to bleach out more of the dark tones. (I mostly masked these adjustments off on her hair)...

    Portrait editing effect

Tried to match the tones and effect of the original.

How to add basic lighting effects?

I didn't add all the sparkly effects or lettering, but here's my quick version of the effect. I cut out three images (with thanks to Nike for their ads on plain black backgrounds), desaturated them, and placed them on the page. Made a background from color blobs and maximum blur. Applied a...

    Football/Soccer Player Cool Effects

I messed around a little and came up with two versions. I haven't played with this kind of thing for far too long. Thanks for the question!!

Request for Help on Smart object - Autimation issue

Hope you don't think you're being ignored, but I honestly do not know. I'm sure there's a way to do it but since I've never made this kind of thing I'm not familiar with it. You might have to use something like Adobe Acrobat Pro, which has a form filler?

    I'm Curious....

Thanks, Clare. :) Interesting.... what were the changes you didn't like? I saw a couple of things I did like and will use in CS6 (blurs mostly) but before I upgrade I'd like to know what you didn't like?
