    Images in a thread

But what to do after BROWSE? Let me be more clear: I managed to drag an image from MY PICTURES FOLDER onto the space where I wrote my text for transmission as a thread to Ph/Shop Gurus Forum, but when I tried to enter a second image, this second image completely obscured the first image which...

First and foremost, I would like to renew my thanks to those people who are always quick to help me with my problems. Sorry, I cannot recall all the names but, if I am not mistaken, the latest helpers were Mr Tom and IamSam. I have come up against two other problems in PATTERNS, as follows:-...

    Patterns in Photoshop CS6

Many thanks for yr prompt reply. Sorry I sent the wrong picture. I meant to send the original without the oil painting effect, but could not locate it; probably I had deleted it earlier in error. Anyhow, does my problem make sense to you, forgetting the oil painting effect? The method I...

    Patterns in Photoshop CS6

Am having trouble concluding the exercise here-under for using patterns in Photoshop CS6. In the attached picture, I would like to use a pattern for changing the surface of the pathway in the middle of the picture, this purely as an exercise to teach myself how to use patterns. I am getting...

    Background colour change

Thanks again, particularly the very detailed info about the meaning of "colour change" in its professional context. Of course, I agree with your advice about making the background paler, especially since this photo leaves much to be desired-- blur, and all that. Shall I first use the Quick...

    Background colour change

Many thks for yr prompt reply. Would like to change the background to the photo of this little girl to a suitable colour. What would you suggest, please? Admittedly, it's not a very good photo, but am using it as a test-case for color change. Renewed thanks. JoeJ

The "halo" effect in sharpened photos

My thanks, as always. I like the result you obtained with Topaz's In-Focus, and shall try it out on other pictures later. Moreover, I greatly appreciate the detailed explanation you gave me about the definition of sharpness. This has taught me a lot, as I always thought of sharpness as...

The "halo" effect in sharpened photos

I am attaching the original photo without the halo effect, i.e. before sharpening. From what you tell me, it is best to avoid getting the halo effect in the first place, but how to sharpen the picture if the sharpening tools in Photoshop CS6 keep giving me the "nasty" halo? Before I close...

The "halo" effect in sharpened photos

First of all, renewed thanks for your patience and help. Yes, of course, I would very much like to receive your method. Just in case I didn't mention it before: I get the "halo" effect when I click on "Sharpen More", sometimes even when I click only on "Sharpen".
