I like your idea with 2 deers in a forest, though I can see that your image is still unfinished.
A few things stand out to me, I hope you don't mind my comment.
1. The big deer is too much in the centre of the image. And just above his backside grows out a big tree trunk. This is not advantageous for the viewer.
2. The watering hole seems to tilt forward.
3. The small deer in the BG seems to float in the air.
