Can't select the Blending options

I choosed the Rounded Rectangular Tool (in Adobe ImageReady) and made a button shape.Next i right click on the layer I made, but i can't choose blending options (doesn't exist as an option).
I tried to save the file as .psd and then open it in Photoshop. When I right click the layer to choose Blending options, the Blending option is grey.
How can i choose th Blending options?

You must draw everething in Photoshop first, so it would be much easier for you to use blending options. You can rather do it in Image Ready by right clicking in the layer palete on the layer and choosing "Layer Style"
