How can i give pic1 the same effect as pic2?

Long time no see Bobz...

Use the elliptical marquee to cleanly cut the pics in center to new layer. with lasso tool create a rough selection around the image. and apply feather (setting is up to your taste ) Menu>Select>Feather. Inverse selection and hit delete.

You may want to hit delete again in case you want to feather it some more.

Play with were you can get the lasso selection to create a soft feather like hair on top and around blouse.


But on the second image, either the original is faded at the hair or light erase in airbrush mode was used.

hi dv8, yes i know it's been awhile. i want to give the image in pic1 the same look as the image in pic2 kinda a tintype look

Not sure what you mean by tintype. Like this?

Oh I think it's like an antique look... is it?

Add a hue and saturation layer to get the tone you want... either yelowish or tan...
