Removed the TV from the back wall and adjusted brightness, contrast, and did some noise reduction. I hope you like the results.

As the request as already been done I just will throw my opinion and say that I think the cartoon on the tv really makes the image more fun and happy and doesn't distract that much,. No tv does also look good do.

Not what you asked for but I too agree that the colours on the TV screen fit the setting of the photo. To offer another perspective, here's my subjective results after using curves adjustments to illuminate the BG somewhat and add light to the subjects faces.
