Mt. Rushmore... Stone effect?

I was messing with a photo of mt. rushmore, and putting faces of my friends on it. I have no problems matching the color, but how can i get the faces to look a little more like they are carved out of stone?

Are there any filters that will achieve this effect? How would I go about doing this.

The link above gives a tutorial one how to make a person into a statue. The technique should be applicable.


I don't know of any particular filter that can simulate the effect but maybe someone else here knows something that I do not.
