Team name:

Omni Arts Pty Ltd

Project name:

Apalia and Apalia HD - An Episodic Fantasy Game

Brief description:

Apalia is an Episodic Fantasy Game with our first releases beginning next month!
3 Episodes are releasing on a variety of platforms, with more platform releases leading all the way into the Xmas season.

Apalia is a 2d game set in the top down perspective. Comprised of pre-rendered 3d graphics in a 2d environment the game is controlled by 2 methods: the traditional hack and slash (mouse), and what we call our real-time controls (keyboard/game-pad)

The game follows our heroine, Ariana the Raan as she is sentenced to death in the Elpala Arena. Episode 1 is based around learning to fight in an arena in an arcade style of playing, while Episode 2 and beyond takes the game play out of the Arena, and into the lands of Apalia!

Target aim:

Shareware/Retail
Episode 1 is a free game, further Episodes are paid.

Compensation:

Royalty Share

Technology:

Photoshop!
Google Wave - for communicating with the team

Talent needed:

1 Photoshop Artist - intermediate to advanced level - must be passionate about gaming, especially this game!
The job involves taking the 3d rendered assets created for Episode 3 and compiling them into a level via photoshop.
You will be assisted in all areas.
There will also be various other tasks, UI fixes, and any other graphical glitches that may show before release, but there is not much work left on the product.
We are mainly looking for a Photoshop artist to take some pressure off the team leader as we journey into the release phase.

Team structure:

We have a small, yet solid team. The team has essentially stayed the same since we released our first Omni-arts game in 2009. We are a mix of gaming enthusiasts with great skills, as well as professionals looking for a chance to develop the games we want to make.

Previous Work by Team:

Apalia: Arena of Swords - Windows Mobile 6 Series (2009)
Kid Krusader - iOS and Flash (2010)

Additional Info:

Apalia has been in development for quite some time. Initially we planned on making this a quick release in the holiday season of 2010, but we loved the core so much we couldn't resist creating a larger game from it. We are looking for a Photoshop artist who is dedicated, we aren't neccesarily looking for the next great artist but someone who knows their way around Photoshop, has a lot of free time on their hands, and wants the best for Apalia. This would best suit a student who is ready to put their skills to use in the industry.

It is an exciting time for Omni Arts as we prepare to wrap on Apalia and Apalia HD. The future is bright, so if you would like to join us Indies as we prepare to go head on with the game industry, please send us an email and we'll get back to you asap!

PM and E-Mail heading your way.
