save for web as .jpg

I was working with this file in .psd and when saving to .jpg, it is significantly degraded (see attachment). The original image was 72 dpi but still, this it looked fine in .psd.

What should I do?

Duplicate >increase the resolution to 400 use gaussian blur at about .7 % or so > create the new layer in overlay mode. then do the same to the lower layer >merge and this is what I got ......... try it

If it looked fine in psd then there's no reason it can't as a jpg. Make sure your compression is at least 60%, then the average onlooker should not see much of a difference between the original and the .jpg.

How do you change the compression to 60%?
