Slices tool cant move pieces

You have to select the slice that you wish to move.
In this image, the slice box on the right has been selected. You can tell because it has turned gold and has the transform nodes around it's edges.
If you are using the Slice Tool, hold the cursor inside the slice box you wish to alter, hold the Cmd/Cntrl key and click.
Or...........you can use the Slice Select Tool.
