Spirolglyphics

Go any of you gurus know how to create a spirolglyphics image to use as a coloring in stress relief?
There are plenty of books to use but I'd like to create one for myself in Photoshop if possible?
Here's a sample of one that's been completed.

MAny thanks for the reply Sam. I was after the method to create the "colour in" layer as in the books. Great for stress relief apparently.

Very impressive! and it doesn't have to be just a spiral. I like the linear effect as well. Thank you!
