Wave shape on the bottom of a photo

many ways to do that but first thing that comes to my mind is the transform options

There are a few ways to do this depending on the exact style you want or what you would be using the image for.

I would use the pen tool to quickly make a mask, convert to selection, and delete the portion of your photo you do not want.

There are two ways to delete the bottom portion of your photo:
1) You would have to duplicate the background layer to edit the image. (command+j or control+j)
After duplication, delete the background layer for .png or add a solid color layer UNDER your newly duplicated layer.

2) When you hit delete WITHOUT duplicating the layer, a box will pop us asking to fill that layer. Select the color for the fill and apply.

The 2nd method would NOT be good for transparent .png
