True nikkie. The good stuff is expensive. But you can survive with the free downloads offered at a lot of Poser sites.
Rick and I are tuned in regularly for new releases. With the exception of rick's female models and one or two items you've seen in our posts, all our images are created with free stuff. It all depends on what you want to create.
I came across a Poser trial version somewhere. Lat me search for it again.
RICK, Get a load of this cool character - from sixus1..... ANTON. I don't remember but I think the toon scene was from there too.

Oooops
. I've never tried those links before but it all pointed to the Curious Labs site. And I don't think it's available anymore. I'll search again.

I haven't tried both.
Like erik said, Poser Artist is a tamer version of P5. Poser 5 has a better render engine but contains bugs according to a lot of users. Even the fix upgrades don't fair well. That's one reason why I didn't upgrade mine. But then again, let's see.......
Give the trial download a try.
Hang on though, DAZ will release their version of poser hopefully by the end of the year. Don't shoot me , too, if I'm wrong
. Their words yaknow.

Nikkie; I have Poser 4 with what they call the Pro Pack upgrade as well as Poser 5. I have loaded ver 5 two or three times and always end up removing it and using ver 4. Poser 5 for me is just to unstable - it might be that my system is not strong enough to handle it. But for now I will stick with Poser 4 and await the DAZ 3D version.
I seem to remember Erik posting a link to one of the Comp Mags that offered a free version of Poser 3 a while back. Maybe check with him on that.

You can still save something- enlarge the Poser image window as big as you can go, take a screenshot and paste in a PS canvass.
