i got Maya 6

hi all..

i just wanted to tell you..
that i have "maya 6 "now..
my parents bought it for me ( on 2nd hand )

so it's now "maya 6 and photoshop 7" now i should be able to make some cool stuff.. in about a few weeks..

so if anyone knows any good tutorials for "maya 6"..
please post it here !
And if you think that maya is all bad.. tell me too..
so i can get rid of this .. ;)

You are fooling around with us or not? Maya was released on April 19 this year, the cheapest version is about $2,000 and your parents got a hold of a second hand version after only 10 days? Two days ago you didn't know what to buy. Your parents spend a lot of money and only after having the program you ask us if it's any good?

Btw, Maya is a good program from what I've heard of it, but I've heard that it's a program that's very focused on creating 3D in a team, so it contains a lot of extras that are related to this and that tends to make the program less easier to use than most "single user" programs.

Um, first off, Yes, this is a PhotoShop site/board... however... it should also be pointed out here that this is the 3D Programs forum there MsOz, and thus I would think that it is rather the appropriate place for a PSG member to be asking of info relating to said 3D app and/or tuts for such...

The Forums Index, for this particular 3D Programs forum states... " Anything to do with using any 3D program"

And since Mark was probably the one who wrote such, I would kinda figure that this is word.... eh ?


Next... Since none of us really know the circumstances surrounding badboyXL's aquisition of said app, so to be suggesting anything other than what is claimed by said member would seem to me to be a tad rash, not to mention all out deflamatory... what ever happened to "the benifit of the doubt" or "innocent until proven otherwise".... sheesh...

Carry on badboyXL... I for one, am totaly interested in all things 3D, and totaly look forward to viewing worx done by any 3D members here, various screenshots of the apps, and wireshots... gotta have those wireshots

when i was searching for tutorials.. i saw everywhere about maya 6
so i guess it got stuck in my mind lol..

i double checked it.. and yes it?s maya 4 :(

but if maya 6 is better i should get it ;)

All I said was "You are fooling around with us or not?". I didn't suggest anything; I just wanted to know if he left out a few details. A fair comment, backed up with several arguments. To call my comment rash or inflammatory (that's the way to spell it btw) is in my opinion very inappropriate. :\
