Joining 2 shapes

Hey

I need help to join to shapes..
I've made a shape using pentool, but closed the shape when I was done.
I then used the reflect tool to make a copy, and i now need to join the two facing sides, but of course I can't since the shape is closed.
How do i open it so I can join them? (:

Select a point then hit delete.

Just use the Merge button!
