Live Trace and Saving end file - Bloody headache

I have 'placed' a PSD into Illustrator, I then live traced the .JPG (which is from the PSD inside photoshop) I have set 10 colours which suits my project perfectly

The image is exactly what I want it to look like - Now when I go to save the iamge as either a .pdf or .esp it saves and then the origional traced image traced does not resemble what the saved .pdf or .esp

What can I do to solve this problem - I think the solution is under my nose but I cannot figure it out - It almost looks like the traced image now with hundreds of paths each path having a small stroke of .5px or some thing..

    Image inside of Illustrator :

Image after it has been saved:

Not sure if this will solve it, but give it a shot.

After you have saved your "live trace" image, copy it, open a new Ai file, and paste it to that. Then save that, and see if it works.
