By my then 11 yr old granddaughter

Just thought I'd post this, made when she was only 11. She is now almost 13. An amazingly talented beautiful and intelligent young lady.

    LoL...indeed really amazing!

    Very accurate and complicated painting.

P.S. I noticed that many children (i remember myself, some of my classmates) at such age are very artistic.

VERY GOOD! There are not many adult designers who can draw as interesting things as that, and she must really have a lot of patience. She has really put a lot of work in the details.

Nicely done! She has a feel for elegant line work.

Have her try a script brush and India ink. The elegance she can achieve will propel her drawings to the next level if she can master the tool. I used to ink my drawings with a Kooh-I-Noor drafting pen but once I mastered a script bush I never went back. The ability to create thin and thick line by adjusting the amount of pressure is awesome. Also, I always felt it was easier to draw long arcs with the brush.

Drawing on paper with pen/pencil is the best way to start out in my opinion. This as a very interesting drawing, i love to look at this kind of thing, i always wonder what the child was thinking or dreaming as they invented the situation in front of them, i remember doing very similar things as a child - hell i still doodle now.
Pity it's not all available on screen, great work though.
