Photo to cartoon?

Hi there, I've seen all these photo to cartoon conversion tools online but have only been disappointed after using them. I was just wondering what the procedure is to be able to get a good result of converting a photograph to cartoon in Photoshop. Can anybody offer any advice on this?

Lol just do a simple vector.

Takes less then 20 seconds..


1. Paste your Stock / Render.
2. Duplicate it.
3. Image > Adjustments > Threshold (Set to 128.)
4. Set that layer to 'Soft Light'
5. Filter > Stylize > Diffuse (Select the Anisotrophic button.)
6. Set the Opacity to your liking.
7. Done
