here's a tutorial on creating vector edges for rastered objects. This is for very simple PS images, basic shapes you can make in both PS and Illustrator. I'll do a tutorial on working with more complex shapes and text so that you can use? ps layer styles in Illustrator. These are for designers that design for print mostly but they're also good for making 'crisper' web art and illustrations
