Brunette to Blonde Challenge!

I used the "extract" filter to mask out the hair, Soul And Mind. Here's a good tutorial that explains this tool/technique http://www.pstutorials.com/extract.htm

Brunette to Blonde Challenge!

Does nobody want to try this great tutorial?

You can learn a lot from it, trust me.

I've tried it myself, but didn't have the right photo to work with. Maybe someone can post one and make it a challenge, because I know that we can do more than just a fodder

C'mon guys

nice tute, and nice effect Wendy (wbiss) ... I'm going to give it a try .. it might break my PS7 inspiration drought ... question though - can you explain a clipping layer (has gone right over the top of my head ) ... and a suggestion for all tute writers - please state which version of PS was used 'cos as PS evolves this will be very handy for users of older (and newer) PS versions ... and finally I am unable to post a pic of dark haired lady to help the challenge 'cos I only know blondes

Thanks Ian! It really pleases me that you're going to try this.

I, BTW, use Photoshop 7.

A clipping layer basically puts one layer "inside" another layer. Hopefully, my image here should help clarify this a little better.
