    Hi all a new topic,

Would you or have you got Photoshop CS5?

If so why did you get it, or why are you thinking of getting it.

Please post below, for all to see and learn from

I got it solely for content aware fill! Just kidding, but I do have it.

I pretty much always get the upgrades.... in the case of CS5 I think it was well worth it.

I was thinking about getting it, but I am still unsure, as I can get it for quite cheap (Student) I don't know if it will save me money in time, or if CS4 Ex will be ok for years to come, this is something I will have to sort out soon, but I'm still not quite sure ha ha ha

Ho by the way Gaus, the post I just quoted was your 1000 post on the forum

If you do anything where content aware would be useful repeatedly, then I think it would save you a bit of time.

I do as I love doing landscape photog, so I'm thinking about getting it for this, and also the mini bridge, make me work better.

Yes I have CS5 and the main reason I got it is because I upgrade every other version.
I had CS3, my next upgrade was CS5.
I was interested and then disappointed in Content Aware Fill.

It's good, but if it didn't exist I could use Clone Stamp.
I really like the ACR support for the newer cameras, the noise reduction, the lens correction, and the HDR Pro module in CS5

That's a good plan Steve.... I didn't see much difference from CS3 to CS4, but the upgrade to CS5 has been worthwhile.

CS5 For the win imho, i love it, but like Gaus, i always upgrade, i started using photoshop in CS3.. There are several new tools in 5 that make it better, the main ones i have used so far are repeatedly are .. The Puppet Tool, Content Aware...

The puppet Tool is probably the best part of 5 Content Aware is ok but by far puppet alone makes it worth while to upgrade IMO
