Photoshop program suggestion for website idea

Hey everyone,

I have an idea for a social networking site that I'm working on right now. Unfortunately, I am not a programmer, so I need to design a sample template of what I invision the website looking like, so I can pitch the idea to a few programmers that I know, and show them how I want the site to look. I really don't know where to start as far as finding a program that could do something like this, I was thinking that some kind of photoshop would be able to. It will be a pretty simple layout. Any suggestions? (preferably something free)

You could try photoshop and then a plugin like MediaLab :: SiteGrinder 3 this that will turn your psd into a coded website that is quite easy to follow along but I am guessing you dont have much design experience let alone photoshop So honestly your best seeing if a member is willing to work with you here for free but IMHO putting a whole website together as a form of a template I think is asking a lot for any member to do for free. considering the work involved.

However if you just want a general thing that says things like your logo here, your website name here etc box of sample text box of sample picture gallery etc someone may do that or you can search for website templates on google for that. It purely depends on the complexity of your site if it is like a blog style not so hard but if you want something like facebook, myspace then yes you are looking for a lot of work and even site grinder wont be able to do that much. but then if you just want 1 image as if you took a screen shot of a website you may have someone here that can whip that up in a few miniutes.

So to sum up
If you want
A logo, Banner, Page layout or any personalised graphics to your needs then honestly I would start a thread in the freelance section with more details what your willing to pay and your name suggestion.

If you want just an example of a page on how you picture it to look when website goes live I would also start a new freelance thread.

If you just want a premade template then google image search website template and if you want it recoloured for example post it here and someone may help you for free.

I'm a web-designer, and I agree entirely with Hoogle. If your wanting a site template made I would love to help you. Just PM me. Also, if you are wanting it coded. I can also do that.

I'm sure I have seen a free host that supports it, but most of the time "ELGG", that costs about $5 a month for a server while it gets up and running, is the easiest php open source social networking platform to both install on a server, and customise. I do however think you will not be able to set a website like this up without at least a little knowledge of coding.
