Making a movie, looking for advice from the Gurus

Hello Everyone -I'm making a movie and I need to create a mockup of a 500 year old manuscript. I have scans of all the pages in extremely high resolution. When the scans were created a semi-transparent ribbon was used to hold some of the pages in place. I need to remove that ribbon in order to print the pages and unfortunately new scans are out of the question. This ribbon is on about 75 pages, so I need a solution that hopefully won't take too much time.

Any advice you can provide is very much appreciated. I am fairly well-acquainted with PS so there is no need to dumb it down for me.
