Can't activate CS3

My computed died but I was able to save the hard drive. I had to reinstall CS3, but when I tried to activate it said I had exceeded my approved installs. Will taking to the Adobe folks help my chances of getting this reinstalled without shelling out an additional $200?

I've never been in a situation like this, but I would definitely say it couldn't hurt. I figure with all the illegal copies of photoshop out there, Adobe has to be used to people having bad or pre-used keys.

They did

Adobe was very helpful and assisted with getting it reinstalled! Thought I was going to have to shell out another $200!
