There's what it is so far, i didn't trust one of the stock sites when i started the sign up process so most of the images used in the tutorial i was meant to be following weren't available to me, so i ditched the tute, grabbed what i could and made my own. but it's missing allot from the image and it needs something, but i can't think what. could you help me by giving ideas of what to add please?
the JPEG is open for editing if you want to give visual examples.
thanks if you can, and if you don't have anything to add, feel free to comment.
Re: Japanese girl wallp WIP (need soemthing to add)
I really like Hoogleman's vintage grungy look. On your original image looks like there are some small birds or something in the background? At first I thought it might be dust or particles swirling out from her hidden hand. Made me imagine a larger pattern swirling across the middle. Could give that a try, maybe with a traditional japanese pattern, although you already have a few iconic japanese elements now.
Anyways, I think the feeling that something is missing comes from the space in the middle that is kind of trapped. Assuming the elements are all separate, even if you could enlarge the tree and bring down lower so it filled more of the space that might do the trick. I love the soft, airiness of the whole thing and repositioning / playing with proportions rather than adding something would help keep the nice feel you have right now.

thanks for the suggestions guys, i have to be off to school now, but i'll add the cherry blossom on the image, make it grungy AND play about with the proportions a bit. thanks to you all
