"Path of the forest" (painting)
Hello!
I got my first graphic tablet a few days ago and as I love nature and landscapes I had to give it a try.
This is my first drawing ever with a tablet, so any feedback, opinion or critique would be very appreciated.

Seriously? Your first drawing??? Wow!
I can barely manage a stick figure, so anyone who can draw something that actually looks like what it's supposed to be is leagues above what I could produce, but honestly this is really good.
I look forward to seeing what you can do with a little more practice under your belt!!!

Well thank you very much! Yes, it's actually my first drawing WITH a tablet and my first try at a landscape. I used to draw with my mouse using the pen tool.. I never drawed too much though, but i'm getting more into it since I got the tablet.
Thanks for your comment, right now i'm practicing for a winter/snowy landscape i'll be working on soon (getting the right colors for the snow sure was hard!).

You drew with a MOUSE? And the pen tool??? Good lord, man! You must have the patience of a saint!! I get bored just cutting out a figure, and the thought of actually drawing with it makes me want to throw my comp out the window.
I honestly think that with some practice you'll be able to do something really special with this new tool. You've got a great eye for perspective and the painting draws the eye in.
Do you paint or draw with other media? Your technique looks like you've had some experience with pastels?

Yes, drawing with the pen tool was kinda tedious.. and boring. Generally I would start making a base with pen and paper, then scan it and start using the pen tool. Anyway, i'm talking about vectors, not landscapes or something too complicated.
Draw with other media? if you mean drawing with other tools than the tablet, then no. And no, I never used pastels.
