Re: My Latest Work..
what technique are you using for the skin smoothing I am not sure I like it seems to plastic looking for me especially as you are using rap artists I would go with more of the smooth look but ot completely smooth would be nice to see some texture on there still
I like your eminem text also I like people who use 3d text but how are you creating it are you using photoshop or a 3d program as the lighting seems slightly off

For skin smoothing im using blur or noise reduction. The 3d, the west text was with Photoshop and the Santana was with xara3d. Those was my first time trying 3d text. As for the rappers looking plastic, I'm trying to make them semi-cartoon. Not so much as real.

Re: My Latest Work..
Well, it worked, he looks cartoonish, even robotic, your first guy. But only the head, the rest is more textured. I agree with Hoogle that it seems a bit too much, maybe if the entire body were more plasticized or the head less so.
The girl kinda creeps me out, her face is dark, intense, and seems too thin for her body. The upper and lower halves, the ground and the sky, are each very interesting and well done. But they don't seem to fit together very well.
But I like your images, the 2nd and the 4th in particular. I especially appreciate that you have a range of techniques, styles, and moods. That kind of diversity makes me want to move from image to image and check it out. Thanks for sharing. This is good stuff!

Re: My Latest Work..
Interesting.
I thought Santana was a 60-year-old Mexican guitar player. Who is that kid? And why is his middle finger missing? I must be old and out of touch.
(I also think Kanye West looks exactly like P. Diddy)
Getting old sucks.

is not Santana the guitar player, its the rapper juelz Santana. Middle finger missing because of the render I got had it missing. I try it to make it look like it was bended, but I guest I didn't accomplished. Lol
