hi
Hi, I recently have been using my moms nikon D3100 and may be getting one for Christmas myself. I really enjoy taking photos, but I have seen where people have edited them with PS and I love how you can adjust and correct the colors to a "T". So in general I came here to learn how to fine tune my photos of my truck, 4-wheeler and whatever else I take a photo of.
I'll try not to ask too many newb questions, but sometimes it's overwhelming. I am using CS4 btw. I usually look on youtube as well for tutorials.

Re: hi
Hi and welcome to PSG, we can definitely help you out.
The great shots start in the camera, very little PS work needs to be done if the image is captured correctly in the camera.
There are a couple of simple settings on your camera which will help you get the best possible results.
Use the largest color space available on your camera which is Adobe RGB, not sRGB, and shoot Raw not JPG.
Learn to use the Exposure Compensation features on your camera because 99% of the time you want to expose for the highlights.
Feel free to post any questions you have.
