New member saying Hi
I live in the Chiltern Hills in the UK and I am an amateur photographer, although I do have my own studio I converted from a hay barn. I have in the past been involved in model portrait photography as Chiltern Portrait Studio, but have recently become more interested in black and white images, particularly in printing at A3 size using PhotoZoom, QTR, Photoshop CS and Picture Window Pro.
My cameras have been a Bronica ETRSi, in conjunction with a Polaroid Sprintscan 120 and VueScan. My studio cameras are a Fuji Fine Pix S2 Pro and a Kodak DCSLRn Pro. For a short time I used a Canon Powershot S70. My current camera which I now use exclusively is a Nikon Coolpix P7000. Although this is only 10mp I find, in conjunction with the above software, it produces superb images, all shot in RAW format of course. The reason for the latter choice of camera is that I tend to take more photographs, since I carry the camera with me when I wouldn't normally carry an SLR. I gave up on the ETRSi after having found I could produce better images using the P7000.
The one problem I have with small non SLRs is rarely do they have RAW capability or a viewfinder and those that have leave a lot to be desired in a viewfinder.

I wish I had a good camera... I hope to one day get something like the Nikon d800(when released)- SLR's are just awesome... I'd go for a digital non SLR but the image quality is dull and seems flat, I like it when a picture POPS out...

Hiya, welcome! I don't really know many non SLR photographers so I'd love to see how that works.
Personally I opt for a DSLR (my A55).
