    Re: 3D materials.....question

Hi Dad. I can't recall ever using 3d is cs5 yet, but I just had a little rummage around....

I created a new shape layer, and then chose "repousse" from the 3d drop downmenu. Once the 3d dialogue box pops up, in the upper right hand section, there are 6 "materials" options. When you click on the arrow to the right of each little preview pane, a flyout flys out, showing a pallette of all the installed materials. On the top right of that flyout is a small, black arrow. When you click on that, another menu pops out. One of the options is "Load Materials..."

when you click on that, it takes you to the "Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Presets/Materials" folder, where your new set of materials should be hiding (if you're using a Mac. Sorry, I don't where that folder would be on a PC).

    Does that help?
