wrapping 2d image in a new 3d shape

    i need help,
i've created a .dae file and placed in on the preset/mesh folder
so it appeared in the new shape from layer tab

i want to wrap my 2d image in my newly created shape, but unlike the other shapes my image wraps randomly on my new shape. it does not wrap around the object but wraps randomly.

    help please thanks

    Are you using PS?

Normally in 3d, you have to select the object in order to assign textures. But another program is used to create a UV Map for use in texturing an object.

    I don't use PS's 3D feature - needs something to be desired. I prefer doing 3d in a 3d apps.....
