Lights, Camera .... Actions!

First, I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this or not, so if it isn't my apologies. Anyway .... it occured to me last night while I was doing a little Photoshop "housecleaning" that I have entirely way too many Actions.

Half of these I wasn't even sure where I got them or what it is they do, but after checking some of them out I thought it would be neat to share a few of these with everyone here at PSG.

Below are some of the cooler actions I have collected, a screenshot of the results they produce, and then the Action itself to download (if you so desire).

Generate a random fractal map with MapMaker. The zip file contains the Action and the CLUT file. This action also generates random clouds!




When you run the MapMaker Action you will first be asked to choose a Color Table. Place the topmap.act file in your Adobe Photoshop Optimized Colors folder, and then choose "Load" from the Color Table menu when it pops up and browse to the Optimized Color folder and choose the .act file (called "topmap").

This action is called Fake Flatten. Uses for FF1.2:

*Doing a "copy" for the whole Image.
*Adding an effect to the whole image (filter or action).
*Smudging the image.
