    Cloning into bad hair

Hello everyone. A career change has forced me back into Photography (actually a welcome move). When I left I was pretty good in the darkroom... nuff said? Now I am new to Photoshop (CS3). I had a shoot the other day and after it was all over mom, dad, and baby were getting ready to leave when I took this candid shot (I believe I have it attached, will find out when I submit). Dad's spiky hair is not in front of the backdrop. I am trying to figure out how to clone the backdrop around in into that spiked hair. I tried color select, selecting on the white, but it obviously does not look right. Any suggestions?

Well, they quite possibly could do something along those lines, but in a different way. They could take a sample area of your hair, then split each hair into sections which could then be implanted in an animal such as a lab rat, and allowed to grow into many hairs. This would be expensive, might not work very well, and would be pretty creepy really.
